Dvoudílná publikace jednoho z nejstarších plošných zásahů do komplikovaného prostředí stratigrafií preurbáního a urbáního organismu v Čechách. Publikace přináší souhrn a základní vyhodnocení výjimečného souboru pramenů (díl I), spojených s nejrozsáhlejším pohřebním areálem v historickém jádru Prahy. Areál byl dlouhodobě využíván během raného a vrcholného středověku i v novověku a v jeho proměnách lze zachytit obecné jevy a tendence vývoje středověké společnosti. Pohřebiště je pozoruhodné skutečností, že jeho funkce nebyla zcela kontinuální, ale že do jeho prostoru nebo do jeho částí se opakovaně vracely sídelní aktivity. Publikace je současně i kritickou edici primární a sekundární dokumentace výzkumu (plánová příloha k dílu I a díl II).

Two-part publication of one of the oldest surface interventions in the complicated environment of strains of pre-urban and urban organisms in Bohemia. The publication presents a summary and basic evaluation of the exceptional collection of sources (part I), connected with the most extensive burial site in the historical center of Prague. The area has been used for many years during the early and high Middle Ages and in the Modern Age, and its variations can capture the general phenomena and tendencies of the development of medieval society. The burial ground is noteworthy because its function was not entirely continuous, but that its settlement or part of it repeatedly returned to its settlement activities. The publication is also a critical edition of the primary and secondary research documentation (Schedule Appendix to Part I and Part II.)
